Client:
Turn5

Turn5 sells car parts online, but its passionate people drive the company forward every day. The result of their efforts has made Turn5 into one of Philadelphia’s hottest eCommerce companies. But with big growth comes big needs – especially when it comes to talent.

Service Offerings
Public Relations
Turning Turn5 into a national eCommerce brand for talent.
The Need
Turn5 came to Grimm & Grove to enhance their visibility as a local leader in the eCommerce and technology space with the goal of positively affecting recruitment.
The Insight
Turn5 didn’t even have the basic foundation of brand awareness and understanding of its offering. So we started there.
Background

The Solution
Grimm & Grove launched a public relations program focused on media relations, award opportunities and speaking engagements.
Beyond Communications
Grimm & Grove helped steer Turn5’s employer brand position away from “selling car parts” and towards fueling employee career growth and inspiring people to pursue their passions.
The Result

In 2017 alone, Grimm & Grove drove over 50 media placements in news outlets like Philadelphia Magazine, The Philadelphia Inquirer, the Philadelphia Business Journal, and KYW. Each placement told a compelling story about the company’s brand, which led to more quality resumes coming in for open positions. We also secured Ernst & Young’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” award for the company’s two founders, a key brand asset for the organization’s leadership going forward. What’s more, the company is now a sought-after thought-leader in the Philadelphia tech ecosystem.
