She serves as strategic advisor, communications expert and connector-in-chief to start-ups like RevZilla, AminoPayments and gettacar; dynamic real estate companies like Shoppes at Belmont, City Ave Special Services District, AthenianRazak, Cambridge Innovation Center; and purpose-driven non-profit organizations like Philadelphia250, The First Tee, Parkinson Council, and International House.
Throughout her professional career, Melissa has embraced what’s next. She earned a law degree from Georgetown by night while working a full time job by day. She’s worked as Port Director for the Delaware River Port Authority, served as Director of Corporate and Public Affairs for Aqua America, Inc., and has executed the regional strategy for Philadelphia’s bid to host the 2016 Olympics – all before launching her own business through Grimm & Grove.
As a proud and civically-engaged Philadelphian, Melissa serves on the boards of the Free Library of Philadelphia and the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania. She is recognized as an established connector by Leadership Philadelphia, helping to bridge meaningful connections throughout the Philadelphia region. Melissa resides in the East Falls neighborhood of Philadelphia with her daughter and a dog named Sugar Cookie.
