University City Science Center

Describing the Science Center as the oldest and largest urban research park in the United States is factually correct, but it doesn’t do it justice. The Science Center is also a dynamic hub for innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology development in the Greater Philadelphia region.

The Opportunity

The Center needed an integrated, organization-wide fundraising plan and strategic counsel on development efforts.

The Insight

This place is way too innovative for a traditional fundraising campaign.

The Solution

We developed a comprehensive plan that included fundraising tactics and strategies, personnel recommendations and new messaging and positioning for the organization. But, given the wide array of programming and services offered by the Science Center, we also crafted a message and campaign that tells the complete story of the Science Center.

The Result

Not only were the fundraising activities a complete success, but the Center grew in other ways, too. These included naming a new Vice President of Development, hosting a completely sold out 50th Anniversary celebration, and creating an Innovators Walk of Fame.
